to explain in more detail how it works.
The Banco de Dados de São Paulo Ltda. (São Paulo Database Ltd.) makes
paid researches on a variety of topics, based on the newspapers published
by Grupo Folha, a holding that issues "Folha de S.Paulo" (Brazil´s
largest circulating newspaper) and "Agora". Previous to these current
titles, the group published "Folha da Manhã", "Folha da Tarde", "Folha
da Noite" and "Notícias Populares".
Research can be ordered by interested parties and made by our staff
of in-house researchers or personally on a previously scheduled basis.
They can be asked for by phone, fax or email.
The mininum fee charged for a research amounts to US$ 10.00 (Ten American
dollars). That fee varies according to the found material available
on the topic being researched and the time it took to find it.
The client should explain clearly the subject and keywords to be researched
so our researchers can come up with a cost estimate for that order.
That cost estimate is then sent to the customer and he decides if
the research should be carried out.
For international customers payment must be made by international
credit card. As soon as we receive payment confirmation, research
results are sent by international airmail, when it is printed matter,
or email, when it is ok for the customer to get only text files in
digital format. From may 2001 on pdf files reproducing the original
newspaper print are also available.
